Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake will present Little Women, The Broadway Musical, from November 30 through December 16, 2007. Little Women, The Broadway Musical, is the remarkable new production based on the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott with the book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein. Based on Alcott's own family experiences, Little Women follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were written. Now, for the first time ever, this wonderful narrative has been brought to life as an exciting new musical filled with glorious music, dancing and heart, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter and tears. Don't miss this "richly sentimental favorite with family friendly appeal" when it comes to the state of Maine for the first time at Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake.

The 27-person cast for this stirring new musical comes from several local communities and the University of Southern Maine. Cast members include Lynne Schabhetl (adult Amy) from Bridgton; Stefanie Farrington (ensemble), Cindy Smith (ensemble), Molly Stewart (ensemble), Clara Stickney (Beth), and Emily Stickney (young Amy), and Dorothy Stickney (troll) from Gorham; Keith Halliburton (Mr. Laurence) and Heidi Libby (ensemble) from Limerick; Monica Libby (ensemble), Marcy Parmenter (ensemble) and Rebeccah Voinche (adult Amy) from Limington; Rosalyn Moisan (young Amy) from Raymond; Stephen Hilton (Mr. Brook) from Sebago; Gretchen Wood (Marmee) from Shapleigh; Sara Grace Dodge (Beth), Sabrina Luy (Mrs. Kirk/Aunt March understudy), Jean Potts (ensemble), and Samantha York (Clarrisa) from Standish; Eileen Avery (Aunt March), Nicole Avery (Jo), and Samantha Avery (troll) from Steep Falls; and Cate Goetschius (Meg), Autumn Pound (Jo), Joe Valliere (Laurie), Greer Vashon (Meg), and Matthew Within (Professor Bhaer) from the University of Southern Maine. Little Women is directed by Michael Hjort from Saco with music direction by Allen Thomas of Buxton and choreography by Karen Stickney of Gorham.
