AUDITIONS for THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

DETAILS:

ACTORS MUST BE 18+ TO AUDITION (actors who are 16+ may email the director at artisticdirector@schoolhousearts.org to inquire about an exception)

MONDAY JANUARY 16, 2023 at 6:30 PM at
Schoolhouse Arts Center. Please arrive between 6:15 - 6:30 PM in order to fill out the audition form.

If you are unable to audition at this time, please email the Artistic Director artisticdirector@schoolhousearts.org to arrange a scheduled audition time.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

This audition will consist solely of COLD READS from the script. Actors should be prepared to improvise scenarios, be somewhat familiar with the script and the plot, and actors will be asked to present different accents for the improvisation portion of auditions. Please dress warmly and comfortably.

*This show will require A LOT of physicality from our actors including prat falls, fight choreography, stunts and the ability to stay focused when everything goes right...well, wrong.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:

Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at 6:30 PM.

The production team will design a specific rehearsal schedule around the conflicts of the cast to the best of our ability. Be prepared to have rehearsals 4 Days A Week with a long rehearsal scheduled on SUNDAYS. This will move to 5 Days a week as we get closer to Tech and the Performances.

We will have a pick up rehearsal between performance weekends on WEDNESDAY MARCH 8, 2023.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

MARCH 3 -12 with a total of 6 Performances.
Friday & Saturday 7:00 PM
Sunday 2:00 PM

ABOUT THE SHOW:

An unconscious leading lady, a corpse who can't play dead, a ruffled detective, and a word-mangling butler (among others) must battle against technical gaffes, forgotten lines, and sabotaging scenery in a quest to arrive all in one piece at the final curtain call.
