These productions happen over the course of one or two weeks, and finish with a weekend of performances.
Storybook Theater
June 17th - 21st
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Storybook Theater is back! One of our most popular summer programs- this introduction to all things theater is the best way to get your young one acquainted with the process of developing a play! With tons of creative imagination exercises, theater games and more this week long program is sure to be a blast! Recreating classic stories and acting them out will be fun for all!
Winnie the Pooh Week
June 17th - 21st
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Oh Bother! Join the fun as each day we create a new Winnie the Pooh Adventure that includes its own story book, illustrated and written by the group, and ultimately performed at the end of the week! There's no telling where the adventures will lead as we create an original story with the world's most lovable bear and his friends!
Sherlock Holmes
June 24th - 28th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Become a detective, solve mysteries and learn about story telling through the stories of Sherlock Holmes! Mystery, intrigue, it's ‘elementary dear Watson’! Filled with activities and games and imagination, this week is going to be a lot of fun! At the end of the week, campers will perform a Sherlock Holmes mystery for family and friends!
Fractured Fairytales
June 24th - 28th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Fractured Fairytales ARE BACK! This popular camp program allows young performers to reimagine their favorite classic stories by blending characters into one unique and funny storyline. Fractured Fairytales is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the basics of theater and introducing character development by using characters we know and love!
Tech Madness
July 3rd - 7th (No Camp July 4th)
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Have you every wondered how theatrical magic is made? Well this is the camp for you!!! Learn about set, costume and even makeup design and at the end of the week you will show off all of you new found knowledge and creativity.
Arts and Crafts
July 3rd - 7th (No Camp July 4th)
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Journey with us into the world of arts and crafts. We will be using watercolors, finger paints, fabrics, and even making our own puppets. The end of the week will finish up with an amazing art showing of all our camper's work.
Robin Hood's Band of Thieves
July 8th - 12th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Adventure with Robin Hood through Sherwood Forest! This week will be filled with adventure, fun, games and more as we get to know the characters and setting of this classic story while learning about how actors develop their characters and tell a story!
Broadway Kids Revue
July 8th - 12th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Broadway Kids are coming to Schoolhouse Arts Center! This week students will put on their dancing shoes and prepare their voices as they dive into the world of Musical Theater! Working on a group number and solos, this cast will learn the basics of voice and performance as they learn how to perform musical numbers and ultimately perform for an audience at the end of the week.
Princesses and Pirates
July 15th - 19th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
One of our most popular camps each summer returns in 2024! Perfect for the young performers in your life who love to play dress up as either a Princess or a Pirate! Join us for a week filled with adventures as participants rehearse their own Princess and Pirate adventure! Through the week they will work on character development and learn about the basics of theater before performing their play for audiences at the end of the week!
Witches and Wizards
July 15th - 19th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Join us in creating a wizarding world of your very own! Will you choose your wands or pick your favorite spells? We can't wait to see what kind of characters you create. At the end of the week, campers will perform a magical story for family and friends!
Magic Treehouse: Pirates Past Noon
July 22nd - August 4th
Grades 1 - 6 (Rising Grades Accepted)
Based on the best-selling book series, Jack and Annie journey in their magical tree house to the eighteenth-century Caribbean and the time of Pirates.
Frozen Jr.
August 5th - 18th, 2024
Grades 6 - 12 (Rising Grades Accepted)
A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood.
